About me: I am a Research Engineer at Smartest, working on applications of natural language processing in education. My research interests are in deep learning for natural language processing, in particular:

  • Conditional and unconditional text generation, for applications such as automatic summarization and machine translation.
  • Modelling / generation of long sequences, such as whole documents.
  • Unsupervised / Low-resource methods.

Before, I was a Ph.D. student at ETH Zurich in Switzerland, based at the Institute of Neuroinformatics (INI). And before that, I obtained an MSc in Neural Systems and Computation (also at INI) and a BEng in Computer Science from the University of York, UK. I also did a 1-year internship in the Pharmaceutical industry (AstraZeneca), where I worked in software engineering and big data analytics. You can find more details in my CV.
